FC HEROES’ JOURNEY
Your heroic story begins as you slowly awaken to a challenge that life throws at you. Life calls you to wake up and take action. For a time, you resist that call, but eventually, sometimes grudgingly, you begin your journey. You find mentors and guides along the way, and face obstacles. You see success, and dark moments full of failure and self-doubt, and final victory. And you take the lessons of your victories and bring them home to share them with others. Each of us is here to live a life of meaning. We are not meant to walk blindly and mechanically through life with no challenges, no courage, and no triumphs. What does it takes to be considered a hero? According to many, a hero is a person who is remembered and honored for his courageous life and deeds. A person distinguished for valor, fortitude or bold enterprise or anyone regarded as having displayed great courage or exceptionally noble qualities. Most heroes we knew were dead. We have learned about them in schools. Tributes, monuments, statues, busts, memorials, paper bills, coinages, name of streets, towns, states, institutions, buildings and many others are constant reminders for us for their heroic deeds. Most of the heroes we knew were leaders during times of wars, leaders who fought for independence; there were only a few who didn't actually engaged in battles, leaders who succeeded in overthrowing a corrupt regime and many others. For children, heroes are those with special powers and abilities able to fight monsters and other bad creatures whose main objective is to destroy the world. Now in real life, how can one ordinary person be a “HERO” without extraordinary powers or abilities? How can these “FC HEROES” be a real hero in their ordinary life? There is one COMMON FACTOR among them….. They are real “HEROES” for they are working and sacrificing in foreign land for the welfare of their families…. The FC Heroes’ Journey is the story of living a life of meaning. The meaning of life for them is “sacrifice”. “Claire Bennet has destructible power, who is able to heal from most wounds including cuts, broken bones, burns, internal injuries, gunshot wounds, and the occasional autopsy. At the young age manages to sacrifice her own happiness and freedom for the safety of her family. Just like her, my love for my family cannot be measured for I am also willing to give up my happiness and freedom for them, they are my priority, and they are my inspirations, my strength, my life…..” Taking chances here in UAE in need of sacrifices of being away from my love ones, giving up my profession and dealing with uncertain things. I have encountered lots of trials and problems in my life, pleasant and unpleasant, encouraging and discouraging, with tears and laughers, failure and success, but I am standing still willing to face the challenges life would bring me, I will not give up, nothing or no one could ever destroy me, I am indestructible as long as I want to be!
“Nicole "Niki" Sanders is the wife of D. L. Hawkins and mother of Micah Sanders. Niki, a sufferer of Dissociative
Identity Disorder, displays superhuman strength, being able to literally rip others in half. Initially, she is able to access this power
only when her alter ego "Jessica" is in control.”
“I can well relate to the character of Niki as sometimes I also feel like there is another identity living in me. The other side is weak
and fragile like Niki while the other side is strong and invinsible like Jessica. As a mother & wife, she is willing to sacrifice everything
and willing to do everything. She even worked as an internet stripper to pay for the tuition of his son.
She also proves her unconditional love for his husband as DL also showed her. As a wife to Peter I can also say I can do everything
for him. Surprisingly, in the alternate future, Nikki and Peter Petrelli was seen to be involved in a relationship after. Nikki's son & husband DL
then was killed by the explosion.”
“Peter Petrelli is a former hospice nurse before he decided he was destined not to save one people at a time but to save the world.
He was able to do this with his power to absorb and mimic the powers of other people with abilities.
Aside from their name and good looks, there are still other similarities between the Hero-Peter Petrelli and the real man - Peter Abaya.
They are both sensitive and compassionate. Peterson also wished he could save the world. It has always been his dreams to be Superman or Spiderman
as Peter Parker.
Just like Peter Petrelli's ability to absorb powers of others, Peter has the ability to adapt the cultures of other races!
He can easily mimic the different languages and even expressions of people around him”
“HIRO NAKAMURA- is the only character in the series who became very happy with his powers and has used it in good ways.
He is a fun loving man who can bend time/space continuum. This means that Hiro is able to alter the flow of time. Previously, his ability
allowed him to teleport everywhere or travel through time. He is a very good son very obedient but in the end, he followed his destiny to become
a hero and save the world. He proves himself a very good friend to Ando and to everyone.
All these characters relates to me personally. I give my best to my family- a good daughter most of all. I am a fun loving person and
love the company of everybody. I can be everyone's true friend and always wants to be of service to my dear friends and even those who are not
so dear to me.
I am an adventurous woman as well! I have travelled almost around the world to search my destiny!”
“Eversince I was a child, I used to dream of becoming a “mind reader”, for me it is a great power and now it just so happen I have known
Mr. Matt Parkman of HERO, I am able to relate with him in accordance with his ability. He is a former detective of the New York Police Department,
though he had immense trouble getting to his desired position because his dyslexia made it difficult for him to pass the entrance exam. After
being hunted by Homeland Security, Matt has now decided to embrace his role as a father and protect his family at all costs.
He is an evolved human with the ability of telepathy, through which he is also able to access the same state of consciousness that
precognitives do when predicting the future. Being so observant on what is around me, I can easily distinguish what others needs and wants,
and so I am able to help others in any ways, because of this I can say that somehow I also have the power that Matt Parkman had.
Being a father of a three year-old boy, I can easily relate with Matt. Just like him, I am willing to do everything to give my son a
better future. I will always protect my family and give the best that I can to let them feel the goodness of life.”
“I have always wanted to fly like a superhero, like Nathan Petrelli of HERO. But for me now flying is not literally flying with wings as we
always used to know. For real human like us, how can we possibly fly?
Initially seeing his ability of flight as a gift from God, Nathan Petrelli, took every opportunity he could to try and help those around him.
After discovering his parents injected him with the formula at a young age, Nathan turned against his kind and worked with The President of the
United States to capture anyone with abilities. Despite that, he still tried his best to keep his family members safe, even if it meant risking
his own secrets coming out.
I have lots of dreams in life; some are already accomplished, some turn to disappointment and some are still on the achieving process.
Dreaming is like flying, it’s a great feeling once you achieved the goal but it’s so painful once you fall. Just like Nathan I am always
willing to extend my help to others. Sometimes I can’t avoid getting upset or disappointed caused by the people around me even members of my
family and yet I am still willing to give whatever I have just to make them feel secure and happy.”
